Another view towards Hamilton. - Chris Underwood Images

Carrie and I went to Spencer Gorge just outside of Dundas Ontario this morning. The falls were beautiful, but we sadly got rained out of seeing the second waterfall. That is ok though; it just means that another trip will have to be made!

cunderwood > This waterfall is 41m tall. That is quite big!

cunderwood > While not a spectacular photo, it does give the idea of how high up this is and what the view is from the falls.

cunderwood > This is included to give an idea of the crazy clouds we had today and to show how high up we are. People familiar with the area will note the road in the center of the picture - that is the road down the escarpment which passes under the old stone railroad bridge into Dundas (located to the left of the picture.)

cunderwood > In the distance is Hamilton. The haze you see over the city is not from the steel mills, but is from rain. It was simply pouring over that city while it was dry where we were.

cunderwood > A sample of the dappled light as seen on the trail we were walking on.

cunderwood > On our way back, we saw this old wreck of a house standing by the side of the road. We stopped and took a couple of pictures of it from outside and I poked my camera through one window to shoot the roof from below. Sadly, this house is likely not fixable. A neat place, but not one I would want to go into or try and fix.
